IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT EVENT LOCATION: Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Library, 901 G Street, NW, Washington, DC is located one block from Metro Center/Blue-Orange-Red Line Station and across the street from the Gallery Place Metro/Red-Green-Yellow Line Station. The Library does NOT offer parking. Parking near the Library is a a little CHALLENGING. So plan to spend some time finding a parking spot. Also, Room A-10 at the Library is a bit tricky to find. Make sure you ask the security guard for directions before you enter the Library. You can reach Room A-10 by entering a door near the security guard at the entrance of the Library. The release statement gives Ananda permission to use information shared during the event as research for her book project Sisterhood, the Blog: Soundbytes from the 21st Century Women’s Online Revolution (December 2011). Ananda has been developing content and conducting research on women in social media since 2008. She has used her Talkshoe.com radio shows (Sisterhood the Blog Radio and BAP Living Radio), BAP Living social networking site, Ananda Leeke TV on YouTube, DC Social Media Examiner column, and blog to feature and capture her research on women in social media. This information will be included in her Sisterhood the Blog book.
